Trainer Pat Cannon will be taking two of the team to Hamilton today and both look to be each way chances.
She's Tidy races in Race 3 on the program over 1600 meters. She was awful last start at Werribee. She seemed to throw the towel in as they headed for home in a performance that left the team disappointed and scratching our heads. She may have been in season which can be detrimental to a mares performance. We just can't put our finger on it.
She has drawn drawn perfectly in barrier four today and she'll race in the blinkers for the first time this preparation. We're hopeful with the aid of blinkers she'll be more focused and able to hold a position close to the lead. She is very one paced and this racing style has suited her best in the past.
Young WA hoop Jordan Turner is riding plenty of winners and his strong riding style should suit She's Tidy.
She's Tidy races at Hamilton today over 1600 metres. Blinkers go back on.
Later in the day Princess Park bred Equiamico races over 1100 metres in Race 5 in a Benchmark 58 event.
He ran well at his last start at Nhill and was stiff not to get the chocolates going down in a head bobbing finish. He made all the running and showed good fighting qualities.
This race is much harder than his previous start and he'll find the opposition tough but he keeps improving so he has to be rated a rough each way chance.
Regardless of the result tomorrow Equiamico will go out to the paddock. I'm sure he'll come back a more mature horse with this preparation under his belt.
Equiamico early in his preparation at our Ballarat stables.
