Pat Cannon will race two of the team at our home track of Ballarat on Sunday.
Artie's Party races in a Benchmark 70 race over 1000 metres. After racing in Adelaide first up from a spell, Artie came done with a nasty virus and was subsequently rested while he got over the bug.
He'll improve off this run as a result. In a good quality race the speed should be genuine. Artie will get back and we'll be hoping off a solid speed he can hit the line. Strong rider Noel Callow should suit Artie and from gate two he should get a soft run with cover.
Autonomous lines up in a Benchmark 64. After blundering the start at Catsterton Tommy never got warm. On a leaders dominated track he was never going to make ground after having to hook wide on the home turn.
He's first up run was excellent and this boy rarely puts in a bad run. He galloped well last week in his lead up to this and with seasoned jockey Brad Rawiller onboard he's rated an each way chance. Barrier 10 makes things a bit tricky but hoping Brad can overcome the gate.
Best of luck to all owners!
Autonomous winning at Caterton last preparation.
